Scrap steel

We define area this according to two main categories:

New scrap:

E2: heavy new steel scrap, primarily thicker than 3 mm, prepared for the furnace.

E6: light new steel scrap, primarily less than 3 mm thick, prepared for the furnace.

E8: light new scrap steel (less than 3 mm thick), compressed or in the form of solid bails,
prepared for the furnace.

E5M: mixed loose pieces of carbon steel chips, free of excessively wooly contents, loose material &
machining steel chips

Old scrap:

E3: heavy steel scrap, primarily thicker than 6 mm, dimensions no larger than 1.5 x 0.5 m, prepared for the furnace.

E1: light steel scrap, primarily less than 6 mm thick, dimensions no larger than 1.5 x 0.5 m, prepared for the furnace.

E40: shredder steel scrap, old steel scrap reduced to small pieces that are no larger than 200 mm for 95% of the
load. The remaining 5% may not contain pieces larger than 1,000 mm. Prepared for the furnace.
